Lulu's Story
Lulu came into ARTS' care with her 14 yr old sister, Skinny, when their human passed away. Unfortunately Skinny developed a large mass that she was just not able to recover from. Now she is a solo cat and would really love a home that is patient and kind with her while she adjusts to all of these life changes and grieves the loss of her loved ones.
Lulu is all around a fairly shy quiet kitty. She enjoys pets and cuddles once she gets to know you but will hide when new people come over and may spend her first little bit at your house under the bed. She also doesn't like fast movements so no young children and a quieter household that is more her speed would be best. As far as dogs, she has not been well tested with other dogs but based on her personality they are likely too rambunctious and noisy for her. That said our adoption team is willing to discuss that possibility with you if you are interested and have a quiet slow cat safe dog.
A cat tree is a must for this pretty lady. She likes to hang out on her throne to watch world outside. Have a Catio? She is not an adventure cat but loves getting fresh air and sitting by a screened in window, so she would probably enjoy some controlled and safe outdoor time too.
Lulu does not have any litterbox issues and uses her scratching post regularly. She is a free grazer and not picky with her kibble. Lulu would be great for someone who works as she is sweet and affectionate but not overly demanding and okay alone. Of course if you are home more often she would also be happy! We think she'd do great curled up in someone's home office to keep them company during the work day.
Does that sound like the right kind of cat for you? If so Please start by applying here. Lulu is young for our program and we would love to find her a forever home while she has many years left to bond with her new family.
